Hey All,

I just pulled a TOTT Babe Ruth Pants Button 4/5 from a box of Absolute Mem. I am having a trouble with this one. I want to grade it but i also want to sell it right away. Would it make that much of a difference in the selling price if where to get it graded?


Also i wanted to know if anyone had a hockey price guide on hand. I have these Zeinth Hockey Set from the 97-98 season with LeCavalier Rookie Luongo Rookie and so on. I Dont have a Beckett Hockey Guide and dont plan on getting on dont have many hockey cards that warrant me buying a book. If anyone can help thanks

No - the value of that card is the game-used piece, not the card. When a card is that rare, people are paying for the buttom [as silly as that sounds]. The card would have a de minimus value rise if it was graded 8, 9 or 10. A 10 would be worth marginally more, and if it is below NM/MT, it would definitely be worth less. But those are your bookens.

I agree with Marc...the value is in the memoriabilia, not the cardboard. A grade of "Mint" by a grading company isn't going to affect the value of the card that much imo cause it's the cardboard that's being graded, not the authentication of the memoriabilia. You have the certification by the Card company and that is your "authentication." I would leave it as is.

BTW: Congrats on getting the card!
