interestingly enough,

Beckett just announced thick card encapsulation at the National.

Quote:

In particular, the hands-down winner of the NSCC was the newly unveiled Ultra-Thick holder. BGS worked very hard to get this holder ready in time for the National, and it was well worth it. The new holder allows cards as thick as 1/4" to be encapsulated, and BGS is the only company able to fully encapsulate these cards. With ultra-premium brands like Exquisite, as well as half a decade's worth of SP Authentic patch rookie cards, along with numerous other thick issues, the time was right to invest in the ability to encase these cards. The response was overwhelming, and our grading staff looks forward to seeing how grading will help boost the already sizzling hot market for these cards.

That's "ultra" thick. I wish SGC would just grade "Thick" memorabilia cards.

I was going to send in my 99 UD I. Roderguiz game jersey card. I guess it was a good thing I saw the thread before I got around to it.
