I have purchased nearly zero modern cards since 1992. The exception would be Heritage baseball and the All-American Football release. Now that the Detroit Tigers are dominating baseball, I am getting a major itch to go break open some product looking for Verlander, Zumaya, Granderson, Thames, Bonderman etc. rookie cards and autographs.
1987 was the last time the Tigers made the playoffs and 1984 since a World Series victory. It is a pretty damn good feeling right now. From about 1980-1984, my pack ripping was simply for the love of baseball and the most excitement was when I opened Tiger cards. I think I am actually coming full circle to some extent.

Old, dense-headed hammers are cool. Best nail pounders.

Thank you smart azz. Did you ever buy any of the Topps All American Football cards? We discussed briefly, at one time, trading singles to complete our sets off.

I will post some scans latter, but over the weekend I bought two 8 pack Allen & Ginter boxes. Some beautifull cards that I would recommend to vintage and modern collectors.

I bought 3 boxes of A&G last week and love stuff.
the retro style images and the text on the back (as opposed to numbers) is really great.

Start an A&G thread and post some scans of your good stuff.
