This post kind of got lost in another thread so I'm re-posting it here:

Trivia question:

What Wisconsin sports team was founded in 1938 and played its first season in a professional league in 1939?

Rules:

One guess per person. The first correct answer wins the prize (SGC 88 1968 Mickey Mantle). The answer must be historically exact (both the city and the team name are required). The winner will be announced shortly after the contest expires on June 29, 11:59 pm, CST.

I noticed that the Red Skins of the NBL played in the 38-39 season, and assumed that maybe they either played all of their games as a "pro team" in 1939 and either didn't play until January 39 or ???

Frankly, I wearied trying to find the answer on the internet because it's either really buried or as MW1 says it is a trick question.

Who knows, maybe it is the Green Bay Packers?
