Hi all,

Just getting ready to send my latest submission in to SGC. These are all cards that I will be adding to the registry when they return. I decided to send these 14 and next to them I put what I think they will get as far as grades. I could be way off but one can always hope.

1) 1933 Goudey Roy Johnson # 8 - SGC 40

2) 1952 Berk Ross Ralph Kiner - SGC 40

3) 1958 Topps Robin Roberts # 90 - SGC 50

4) 1961 Topps Duke Snider #443 - SGC 60

5) 1962 Topps Bobby Layne # 127 - SGC 50

6) 1968 Topps Rocky Colavito # 99 - SGC 80

7) 1968 Topps Joe Morgan # 144 - SGC 80

8) 1968 Topps Brooks Robinson A.S. # 365 - SGC 80

9) 1957 Topps Fran Rogel # 27 - SGC 60

10) 1970 Topps Brooks Robinson #230 - SGC 80

11) 1970 Topps Len Dawson # 1 - SGC 70

12) 1959 Topps Orlando Cepeda # 390 currently a BVG 8, hoping for at least an SGC 86

13) 1967 Topps Don Sutton # 445 currently graded a BVG 7.5, hoping for at least an SGC 84

14) 1965 Topps Joe Morgan # 16, card was not graded previously by SGC due to being "miscut". Sending it in for a second opinion.

On the earlier year cards, I think my estimates are pretty fair. I tried to shoot low in my estimates on the 1968's and 1970's. I think they'll do ok though.

Wish me luck!

Predicitng grades? Courageous man. Dropping off #14, the miscut, let's set an over and under for the deputy.

The over/under is 9. 9 is a push. Do I have any takers? How mcu do you trust the deputy? LOL

VaYank - I think I might have to take a turn and make a bet myself! Gambling, of course being legal in Va. if the house doesn't take a cut, .

I think my estimates were fair and in some cases low but I've been known to be way off, so I'm going to let the experts decide.

Finally got around to mailing the cards out yesterday (7/10). 2 day shipping puts them there on Saturday and 20 days to grade. Let the count down begin!

SGC has listed my cards as having arrived as of the 15th. Anticipated shipping date is the 31st. I'm hoping that they are a little ahead of schedule and that I can see the grades soon. I'm not a patient person, . Can't wait for them to return!

Your previous post said you asked for 20-day turnover time. You say SGC received your cards on July 15th with an anticipated ship date of July 31st. How are you receiving that kind of quick turnover time? I have a 20 day turnover time submission in to SGC that they received on June 30th, and they have posted an anticipated ship date of August 4th. That's 25 business days from receipt. Any idea what's going on?

I thought I was getting a 20 day turnover time but apparently I'm in the "10 day set registry special" window of time. I must have qualified for the shorter time or perhaps someone made a date error along the way. I'll keep you advised if I hear anything different.

Unfortunately, I do not think SGC is running ahead of schedule. I have a 10 card submission that is about 2 weeks past its estimated shipping date. Hoping to get the grades within the next day or two.

My card grades were posted today by SGC - should have the cards by the weekend. Here are the results of my 10 card 1971 baseball crossover submission:

1 PSA 8 crossed to SGC 92
5 PSA 8s crossed to SGC 88
1 PSA 8 crossed to SGC 86
3 PSA 9s crossed to SGC 96

I examine all cards under 10 power magnification before sending them in for crossover - and for the most part only send cards that I think have a good shot at crossing over without a grade reduction.

Yea, I say so! 10 cards submitted: 8 crossed straight. One up, one down. Pretty darn good!

Congrats!
