Old, dense-headed hammers are cool. Best nail pounders.

VintageDep,

I am in a similar situation -- a large submission of mine (198 cards) is scheduled to ship on 8/1. This one should take me to ninety-few percent completion on my '68 set. My fingers are aching from being double crossed for so long. I have a feeling that the National may impact turn-arounds in a not-so-good direction...but am still checking the invoice hourly!

I'm hoping that since my submission went in before the National, they should have a good jump on it. Although, I do have another small group of cards that I'd like to send out in a week or 2.........turnaround might be a lot longer.

I think that the problem is that both of our submissions were in Parsippany when a good number of the SGC folks were in Atlantic City for the National. I would expect that their normal TAT would suffer in cases like this.

No matter, I can wait. I think it is a good sign when they push their TATs....if a submission would come back too early, I'd worry about how busy they were. If the folks at SCG are busy, then I am happy!

To All Concerned

As I am also waiting on a 146 card order which had an estimated shipping date of tomorrow, I sent an email to SGC looking for a guestimate as to the real date as I assumed the National would impact this.

First of all let me give kudos to SGC for answering my email within 30 minutes!!! Let's see you get that service from PSA.

Secondly, I was informed that my order will just be pushed back by the number of business days that they spent at the National (3). Can't say all of your orders will be similarly impacted but that's a good guess.

NJdolphins-

Thanks for the info. I'm not surprised that they responded in 30 minutes as SGC's customer service has impressed me more and more from day one. When did you send your order in? Mine was received on July 15th and its a small order (14 cards) so I'm hoping that they will be close to the ship date of July 31st. I'm very anxious to get the cards into the registry and I'm looking forward to submitting my next small order. Did they update your estimated ship date on your invoice after telling you about the 3 day extension?

Vintage

My order was received on June 30th with an expected ship date of July 30th. They have not changed the online system and didn't indicate to me whether or not they would (I didn't explicitly ask).

Good luck with your submission.

Regards

Ron
