Good Afternoon everyone,

Today we launched a new feature to the registry and it is called "The way I Collect". We think it is a neat idea and we hope all of you enjoy it. As the name indicates, this registry is for those collections that are not specific to a certain year or manufacturer. It is an open registry for any and all cards that a person collects, i.e. type cards, Hall of Famers, players from a particular team or just your favorite player(s), etc. There is no minimum or maximun number of cards required to build a set and unlike the original registry, we will not be weighting or ranking the sets. Getting started is fast and simple and I believe it is self- explanatory. All the information you need is at www.sgccardregistry.com and click on "The Way I Collect". Have fun building your personal sets and as always, we welcome your feedback and comments. Once again we would like thank all of you that participate in the registry. Your business and support is valued and appreciated.

Regards,
Sean Skeffington-SGC

Sean,

Sounds great. At some point I'll have to add my other cards.

Wonderful new feature. Allowing folks to sort their collections however they want really should appeal to the masses. I know that many folks besides myself collect individual players, I've seen other people just buy cards that are #1 in each set, etc.....

Another great innovation from a great grading company.

Regards and Thanks

Ron

I tried to enter a set and received the following error message:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Field 'userMadeSetDetail.cardname' cannot be a zero-length string.

/createmysetdef.asp, line 247

Any suggestions?

Jim

VD --

I emailed Sean with the same problem. I'm sure he'll get it corrected quickly.

Hey Jim --

I noticed that you already have a "The Way I Collect" set published and that it contains scans of each card. Did you have any difficulty uploading scans and reviewing the scans from the edit page following successful upload?

My bad ... it's not the "SGC graded minor league stars" set owned by deputy that has scans ... it's the "Type Hodge Podge" set owned by vwtdi.

So, vwtdi ... I'd still like to know how you reviewed your scans from the edit page following successful upload.

Not sure if its me or the site. Every time I enter cards, half the cards wont appear and the other half are repeated over and over. I entered 3 Scott Rolen cards and the registry said I had 12, with cert numbers repeated. Now it says that I have 2 sets called "Platinum Yankees"

Any ideas?
