Mr. Aurandt (a.k.a. Paul Harvey) was simply a toned-down version of Limblob. He espoused the same arch-conservative, right-wing, hate-filled philosophy as does Limblob, and he was adriot at twisting the facts and omitting things in order to "prove" his point of view.

Pro-slavery, homophobe, endorsed native American genocide. Sorry for the family but no tears here.

Condolences to the family but the man was a right wing loon with a microphone.

"We didn't come this far because we're made of sugar candy. Once upon a time, we elbowed our way onto and across this continent by giving smallpox-infected blankets to Native Americans. That was biological warfare. And we used every other weapon we could get our hands on to grab this land from whomever. And we grew prosperous. And yes, we greased the skids with the sweat of slaves. So it goes with most great nation-states, which--feeling guilty about their savage pasts--eventually civilize themselves out of business and wind up invaded and ultimately dominated by the lean, hungry up-and-coming who are not made of sugar candy."
---Paul Harvey----

This is the first time I ran across a 'news' show where the news was intentionally indistinguishable from the advertising. He may have had an interesting style and interesting stories but he was also a slimy bastard with no integrity.

So farewell, Paul Harvey. Farewell to your odd little stories, outrageously twisted wingnut version of current events, and the commercials you wove so seamlessly into your "news" that the old and feeble-minded could never really tell if those mattresses and mail-order radio sets were part of the day's headlines or not.
-------------

Copied from many boards I have been reading about him. Not my words above, but most definitely relays my feelings about this guy. Nothing good about this guy, imho.

Smallpox in blankets?? LMAO. Next you'll tell us rocks breathe?

As for the Native Americans, I guess you'd like living under repressive, murdering, hedonistic tribal leaders known for savagery unequaled since ancient times.

Long live the Paul Harvey quote AND Rushbo.

Thanks for posting that commie trash.

A P.O.S., no.

A lightening rod, yes.

He is also the most asute political voice of our day. He is to this generation what Mark Twain and Will Rogers was to theirs.

He is the epitome of what our founding fathers envisioned when writing the First Amendment. In 18th century England, voicing one's opinion about one's government could be a hanging offense. Speaking out against tyranny of government is the very basis of the Republic. You really show your utter ignorance by calling him a P.O.S. You, sir, have no effing clue.

Interesting how the MSM would like to shut him up with the "Fairness" Doctrine, when they are allowed to speak only because of said amendment.

I don't disagree with much of his thoughts. He lost a lot of my respect with his drug addiction situation. You can not be that right wing and that non-tolerant of anything you do not believe and fall of the wagon big time without loosing some credability.

bbo, for the record, I have been a Republic my entire life and voted for McCain despite my dislike for the VP choice. I am finanically conservative and socially liberal. I make a lot of money I am certainly not a fan of socialism at all.
