New question... I have come into what I firmly believe to be an authentic 1915 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson.(It's not my card but a friends). Im looking at the "walk thru" same day service or the "Immediate" service.
Can I actually bring this card to SGC in person and have it done on the same day?
I would really prefer to come back home with it. Thanks Barry
It is my understanding you can hand deliver the card and wait, you just can't watch the process. I may be all wrong, but I thought I read on Net 54 that people have done it. I hope that card is the real deal, it's a sweet piece of cardboard.
That would be great if they do. Unfortunately I cant afford to purchase and hold on to that card myself even if graded only Authentic. But I do hope to make a few bucks out of it

Atleast you get to "carry it around" for awhile, it's a cool card and one day I will get around to owning one.

Drill a hole in the slab, after grading, and thread a piece of fishing line through the hole. Wear it around your neck at the National. Betcha get some action.
If its actually authentic, it will be one of the greatest moments in my hobby experiences! Maybe I'll even take it to lunch, go to a movie with it, go fishing with it, go get both it and me a massage LOL
Seriously, it will be a great experience if it is real. The story behind it...he found it in one of his grandmother's old books many years ago. There are no creases but of course some good wear on it. Asthetically, it has very good eye appeal and is pretty well centered. He's kept it in a safety deposit box for the past 25 years.
What will probably make it an SGC 10 is that there was enough wear on the back that some of the writing is difficult to read. I would be thrilled if it got an SGC 20 or SGC 30. I think it definately has a shot.
