Hi,

Anyone know what set this card is from? Large card (about 4 1/2" x 7") of Rogers Hornsby (misspelled). Pretty thick with a plain back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It might just be a photo. Some of the older photographs used a thicker paper. I have seen a bunch of 8X10 reprints on ebay. Ebay 8X10 reprint.

It actually looks like something from one of the Goudey Premiums sets, but I don't know if there was ever a Hornsby card in any of those sets.

Is it possible that it has been trimmed down to the current size ?
The edges and corners lead me to believe it has.
Maybe it was a 5x7 at one time ?

I took a bad pic, so the edges and corners are poorly displayed. Who knows, though, I guess it could be trimmed.

Don't think he was in any of the Goudey Premiums. At least none that I've seen.

It looks to be the same pic that is on the 1976 TOPPS ROGER HORNSBY ALL TIME CARD #342.
