I just received a catalog from an auction house (whose name I'll withhold as I'm unsure of the forum rules regarding outside sales) that has a jaw dropping assortment of T5s. 49 in fact, including Frank Baker, Sam Crawford, Eddie Collins, Eddie Plank, Christy Mathewson!, Joe Jackson!!!!, Hughie Jennings!, Nap Lajoie!, Honus Wagner!, Cy Young!, Addie Joss! All of them SGC graded with some of them receiving SGC 84 NM!
I have been floored by this find and am gearing up to make a couple of strategic bids.
I assume these had to have been slabbed recently. Brian, did the 'fanboy' in you come out when you saw these come in?

This find is definitely one of the more amazing ones that I can recall. Working at SGC, I am lucky enough to see some of the greatest cards come in each and every week. It's rare anymore that something makes you stop and say 'Wow'. This batch did just that.

For anyone interested, Hunt Auctions is offering this group. You can take a look at their site ( Hunt Auctions) and go to the Feb 26/27 live auction tab. The T5s are lots 706-756.

We had almost a complete set of T5's about 5-6 years back, they sold so fast we did not even have a chance to grade any of them. I agree with Brian, collections just do not come around as often - great post
