Unfortunately, I have a BVG card that I need to crack. That one looks nasty, very thick plastic.
They look worse than the really are. I have found that if you clip the upper right hand corner, just enough to get a thin bladed screwdriver in the slot and gently pry back and forth, or up and down if you prefer, the case will usually pop right open. A lot of people use wire cutters to make that clip, I use cable cutters, just because I happened to have a pair, tin snips would probably work as well. I have heard of folks using a pocket knife to open the case, without making a clip, but I've never had any success with it.
Also keep in mind with BVG the card is in a plastic sleeve inside the holder, kinda like a penny sleeve only a little thicker, and the card is in there fairly snug. So, gently tap the card to bottom of the sleeve and clip the top of the sleeve, I use a pair of really sharp, smaller scissors, then just slide the card right out. Ah...fresh air.
I've never tried it with tin snips, but they should work fine. Look at the corner where the slab comes together top to bottom, I believe it's the top that's larger than the bottom so they nestle in so to speak, vs PSA where the top and bottom are the same size. Clip just past that seam and just enough to get your screwdriver in between the two pieces of plastic that form the slab. Don't worry if you mess up the label, unless you're collecting them. A little prying with the screwdriver should pop it right open.
LOL..........thanks guys. Its a bit faster than my Harley was but i went more for the comfort factor on this one. Top speeds are around 140 (not tested myself) but im not a law breaker so i don't push the ticket, therefore i don't get a ticket.
BMW's style and superb German engineering make for a great ride.
