My experience has been that there is usually a reason that high dollar cards are sold as raw and not in a slab. Most times you will find a wrinkle that is not evident without magnification which puts an otherwise NRMT card right smack onto a 5 holder.

For my money, I would probably be looking harder at the BVG 5.5 which is listed at $799

You may get lucky on the raw but I think if the card was going to grade out at a 7 - it would already be in a slab.

Just my 2 cents - been burned more than once on deals like this.
