Hi,

My father recently found this and gave it to me. It looks almost brand new, even has gloss to it. Could this be a reprint? The gloss worries me. Do 100 year old postcards retain gloss or even have it to begin with? Looks like a very young Cobb in the middle there.

Just curious if these are commmon and exactly what it is.

ynnek4, first off glad to see ya on the boards brother. Im not sure if its a reprint or not. There are some very knowledgable Pre-War collectors out here on the boards whom may be able to answer that. ITs awsome never the less. Very Nice presentation!!!

I'm not familar with post cards, but you might want to ask the folks on Net54.

I would think that if it's glossy then it's probably a reprint, but I could be way off.

According to Ebay its listed as a 1907 H.M. TAYLOR DETROIT TIGERS TEAM POSTCARD TY COBB.
