Nice card and one to be proud of but not at that price, it would grade a 20 max with the paper loss. I would put its value from $450 to $700. Also not a great sign he has other cards graded by PSA and why is this much more expensive card NOT graded, hummm.

The only way I would buy an expensive card like that is in an open auction from a good seller.

I was lucky a few years ago to trade for one-

thats a good point. im sure with a high dollar card like that anyone in their right mind wouldve gotten it graded. im gonna pass

is 20 the highest a card would grade that has paper loss? Does the amount/size or location of paper loss change anything?

Looking at Scott's scan of the Gehrig, does the top left corner represent paper loss?

Ive got a beautiful 1952 Dorocher looks ex/mt on front . Back has little paper loss and it got an SGC 20. I think 20 is about the best you are going to get with SGC regarding any paper loss whats so ever.

Gaugman, on the Gehrig yes they are considering the corner to have paper loss and I am ok with that.

From my experience a card with paper loss will get anywhere from a 10 - 30 with the vast majority getting a 20. The 30's I have seen all had only a tiny spot of paper loss almost to the point it could have just been a printing error. The 10's all have had excessive paper loss like from being torn out of a scrapbook.
