LOL...........couldn't agree more Trex! I almost cry when i see 50's and 60's wax busted. If its been in there that long then by gosh leave it there...LOL

Naw, hell i would probably love to rip a 58 pack or two...

I get a kick outta those that are complaining bout the ebay listings using PSA, SGC, BVG and so on. The sellers are just trying to get the most looks at their cards. If they don't want to bid then its simple.........DONT.

Ah, I don't have a problem with ripping, but is there not a limit as to how much one can talk about it. I mean you would think some of these guys were performing brain surgery and explaining it to first year med student. Geeeez. Then all these little cliques going. It's really funny watching them get their panties in a wad when someone dare challenge the "gospel of the cliques." Oh and then as you say the Ebay listings, good grief give it a break. I wish they would start boycotting all on Ebay who does it, maybe I could pick up stuff a little cheaper.

Awesome Packs BBO.

Yea funny how much 4SC comes up over there. I dont think its so much their fault, although I do think its shady to have a second company to sell off all that failed to get the grade you wanted. They are simply using the amount of money they spend to their advantage. I also dont buy them getting better grades from PSA, what I do think is that PSA is not very consistent and when you have a submitter sending in 1000+ cards at a time they are bound to get a few hundred slider 10's that could of just as easily been 8-9's.

IMO It also calls into account the absurdity of the difference between a 9 and a 10. To me its way to much of a judgement call between the grade and anyone paying huge money for the difference on a card is crazy. The 1979 Topps Ozzie Smith Rookie PSA 10 selling for 20k, as they say a fool and his money......

Here's a couple of articles I ran across a few days ago. Interesting if you can get past the bobbing head. Of course all the "old hands" already know all this. Bear in mind, this is only one person's opinion and I don't know the author, so expert or no, I really can't say. It is interesting though that he grades SGC the highest of the graders for the same reasons I read on this forum all the time:

consistency in grading
customer service
attractive holder

Way to go SGC! Keep up the great work.

Grading is highly subjective and subject to fluctuating personal bias among those non-intended for substantial comparative gain.
