I had a chance to go to the game Saturday night. It was my firend's b-day and he was celebrating out there. I decided not to go at the last minute. I do plan to check out the new team real soon though. It's just a few minutes from my girlfriend's house.

Roger Clemens joins the Sugar Land Skeeters and is scheduled to pitch this Saturday night. I am excited!
I was at the game last weekend and former Astro Jason Lane was pitching for the Skeeters.

Nope. Already sold out. I guess this is his way of staying close to baseball and still having fun. After all, it's not like he needs the money.
I'm guessing he approached the Skeeters and not the other way around. I mean, can you imagine a representative from the team, "Mr. Clemens. Would you like to pitch for our team and make $5K a month?"  Heck, he made that per pitch in the major leagues.

It was suggested on another board that this is a tune up for a one time appearance in a major league uniform for the Rocket. This one appearance would push his Hall of Fame eligibility back 5 more years and distance himself from the currect crop of cheaters..I mean candidates for the hall that are suspected of using 'roids.
It is an interesting scenario to say the least.

Bodily abuse doesn't apply to NY Yankees (e.g., Mantle, Martin, Ford & Ruth alcohol exploits), unless they are former NY Yankees (Clemens), having defected to another team. Mark my words: Jeter will not suffer, lose media support or give up any playing time, even if he is using any kind of enhancers. In fact, this may be a resume enhancer and get him into the HOF early, if not on the normal 5-year time once he is retired.
