That's the plan. Here are the candidates. What say you?

Whoever correctly predicts the best chance for a 96 wins a stack of football cards. Although I realize any 96 grades would ruin my all-92 invoice plan.

The Kaline has perfect centering. A great looking card. That is my choice for 92. Wilhelm is top flight also

Bamberger is an 88. Purkey is the 96.

Cam, I am ignorant on the 1959 set. The Purkey seems to have a rough cut on the left border. Is that normal for that year?

Bbo, they are all very nice cards by the ways

It looks like the majority of cards have a rough cut. In my experience,SGC is quite forgiving in that area.

I think the Senator from Kentucky has a good shot at a 96.

Rand Paul or Mitch McConnell? ;\)

The Bunning is deceptively nice. That card is rarely found centered in my experience. Not sure if it has enough to make a 96. Heck, if my luck holds, I'll get a truck load of 84's and 86's with an 80 or two thrown in to pizz me off. If I had to bet on a 96, I'd say the Kaline has the best shot. When I was going through the cards, the Bunning and Wilhelm caught my eye the most, so I'm hopeful they grade well.

The guy I bought them from had one of those acrylic overlay centering things. There is not a single card in the 9-card lot that's worse than 65/35. In fact, Freese is closer to 60/40 than 65/35. Centering can really fool you if you let your eyes do all the work. If graders actually stuck to the stated rules, I'd get a lot higher grades out of my invoices. But I think graders eyeball it and wouldn't know 60/40 if it bit them on the azz.

For the record, Dickson is exactly 60/40. Hodges (both ways) and Wilhelm (top to bottom) are the farthest off center. But both being yellow cards, it's not as noticable unless you measure.

Kaline will grade the highest.

I will bet against all those making 92's but
wish you luck!! \:\) Dickson and Hale will 86-88.
Hodges will grade the lowest of the lot.
