I know someone (not me) who sent an order to PSA, two-day priority mail. Post office shows it was signed for on Friday, June 8. PSA logged it in on Tuesday, June 19. The latter date is when the "clock" starts. And he paid a membership fee for the privilege of doing so. But of course, he does get a free lunch at the National.
The P.T. Barnum quote comes to mind right about now.

Here's the thing I don't get. Here is a thread about a guy complaining about his grades, yet he says he's going to crack and re-submit. If he thinks they didn't get it right the first time, why would he pay them to do it again? That is the definition of stupidity!
http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=11&threadid=859321
It's the equivalency of me taking my car to the shop to have my brakes done, yet the brakes are still squeaking when I pick it up and the shop wants more money to do it again.

He actually said this in his opening post:
...turnaround times were solid though.
LMAO. In other words, they didn't take hardly anytime at all in looking at my cards, assigning the wrong grade and shipping them back to me. Basically, telling me my cards were crap, so thank you, sir, I'll have another.
You can't make this stuff up at a comedy's writer's convention.
Putrid bunch of sorry miscreants.

That is funny! Using my car example again, it would be like me picking up my car from the shop, but the problem is still there and saying, "but it only took an hour to get the job done" (Just ignore the fact that they didn't do it right). LMAO!

LMAO...the ONLY reason I go to that forum anymore is to get a good laugh. Those folks over there are so full of themselves and so in love with themselves it's nauseating.
Here's a short little synopsis that pretty well sums it all up. I sent this to Blackie awhile back, but it seems appropriate to post it at this time. Enjoy:
How Many CU Board Members Does it Take to Change A Light Bulb On A Forum?
1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a light bulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, just to add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy and associated drama
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again
1 to post a pm that was sent to him complaining that he (the sender) was one of the six that was called stupid
11 condemning the member who posted the pm saying it was wrong to publicly post pm's
22 saying it was okay because he's one of the industry specialists or cliques
1 to say I just ripped 7000 10 year old light bulb packages looking for that perfect light bulb and I found it. Once I get it rated, and I know it will rate perfect because I'm an industry professional, I will be rich. Look at me and do as I do.
15 to complain that it takes too long to get the light bulbs rated (daily post)
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?" (different four)
15 to proclaim the rating company is the best that ever was or ever will be in the universe ( the same 15)
1 to say how could they rate my light bulb a 6, it's a 10 if I ever saw one, stupid rating company. One of the 15 above
1 to say just un-package it and send it in again, and keep sending it until the rating company says "uncle" you'll get the rating you want. One of the 15 above
8 to say the person who complained about being called stupid, and had his pm posted, got booted off the forum, was a no-good jerk anyway
6 to say it was wrong he got booted and he was a stand-up guy
1 to say I don't care about any of this, and besides it's way over my head so I'm going to post a stupid irrelevant, non light bulb related, picture and laugh at it even though I'm the only one laughing
Making a total of 264 posts

I do use the other side and I will say my log times range from 3-7 business days and grading has been all over the place lately, not real happy about either.
I pretty much read the CU board for the humor too, lots of Kool Aid drinkers over their, funny stuff!

Maybe it's just the way I was raised, but I learned that when you pay someone to provide a service and that person/company does a piss-poor job, then you cut your ties with that person/company and look for someone else to that can provide a better service. Again, that's just me though.
Half the threads on that forum are complaints either about log in times, the grades they received or the grades others (4SC) received, yet they still continue to take the abuse. It amazes me. It really does.
