Great stuff and love the pics. MSG did not bring the GI JOE back to work so i didn't get a pic to show. I was hoping he would so i could get someone to accurately access it. I will send him the link you sent. Thanks brother and thanks for sharing.

Its a great hobby Rob. While my "GI Joe" days have been replaced by todays ultra detailed figures from MFGers like Dragon an DiD, Ive kind of been in hibernation in the hobby for a few years.
Todays modern hobby is all about historically accurate figures and super detailed Dioramas(setups) depicting historical events.
WWII is the most popular as many are still fascinated with the German Army.
As neat as many of the German figures are, My interest has always been focused on showing Our American fighting men and women. They(you) are the real heroes in history and Im always honored to show my figures proudly.
Ive done quite a few custom projects over the years.
DUECE TRUCK:
STUART TANK: Did a lot of custom work to this piece. Cut the Fender skirts off, added all the welds and pistol hatches and a complete paint and weather job. "weathering and painting the tank tracks was a finger numbing experience, but it all paid off with the final results
To complete the Stuart, a custom painted tank crew was added.
SHERMAN TANK This is the last "BIG" item I added to my "Motor pool" You don't want to know how much coin I got wrapped up in this piece. The Sherman is sporting a $$$ custom paint job by Scott Carter of Faded Armor, The hobby's most sought after airbrush artist. The custom Tank Crew and weathered chains I added myself.
SCOUT CAR: Complete Repaint
.30 cal in action
I gotta get some shut eye. We are taking the kids to Disney World early in the morning we got to catch a Plane to Detroit and the to Orlando, so we will be gone for 7 days. I'll get back with ya when we return.
I would really like to see some pics of your buddy Rick's GI Joe. If it has the original Box and its original contents including the folded advertisment for the additional equipment sets, that would be a major find.
