Good stuff. You think for a minute the panty waists in the sport today would leave it to fight a war. Think again. I think the last athlete to put country first over their career was Roger Staubach. He wins the Heisman, fulfills his military obligation, serves in Vietnam and still has a pretty darn good pro-football career. And he was color-blind. He could have gotten out of his military obligation with ease, but he chose to do the right thing. Somehow I just can't see Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Cam Newton or any of these "don't touch me" cream puffs following in Roger Staubach's shoes.
