Cracked out a 52 Topps #46 Goldsberry PSA 6. Sent in for grading. Came back as trimmed. I think this is te fifth time that a PSA card came back as trimmed. PSA just cant be trusted. THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dang bro sorry to hear that man. I always worry when i crack out a PSA graded card that it may be trimmed.

I feel your pain, has happened to me a couple times and quite the downer, granted on one I dont know how I missed it as the card was half an inch short and still graded a 5 by PSA ouch.

Over 9% of the cards I've cracked out of PSA holders and sub'd to SGC have come back evidence of trimming. 9 out of every 100. But hey, anybody can have a bad day. If the incompetent jerks across the street can't even tell if a card is trimmed, how in the h--- can they get the grade right?

After grading cards through both companies and listening to dealers over the years I think it's pretty safe to say SGC is just more accurate and dedicated to ACTUALLY grading the card. In Baltimore this year a dealer I buy from on a consistant basis (deals strictly in SGC) showed me and some other buyers at his table an absolutly beautiful centered/sharp corner/bright focused 1955 Mays graded 88. We all agreed it could get a bump if he resubmitted it. He said he went to the table on two seperate days attempting to get a bump on 10 seperate cards including the mays. SGC wouldnt bump any of them, he is not a small time dealer either the bulk if not all of his stuff is through SGC. I am sure the big dealers where getting half grade or full grade bumps on cards by PSA the whole show.

I know I posted this on another thread, but I want to be sure as many people see it as many times at possible.

For all the PSA Kool-Aid drinkers, feast your eyes upon these beautiful PSA MINT 9 cards (I don't know whether to laugh, cry or spit nails):

1964 #443-Dressen MINT 9 ????

1965 #574-Sievers MINT 9 ????

I may not know "jack" but Jack knows somebody at PSA and apparently Jack "never gets cheated."

guess PSA would tell you those two are right on the mint 9 threshold for centering! Maybe the Sievers (Maybe) no way on the Dressen.

I have numerous "crack and resub" high end 8's from 1965 (recently graded) with better centering than the Sievers, that didn't get the bump. Not even a half-point bump! Centering should be the EASIEST criterion to judge, yet the utter inconsistency coming out of Newport Beach forfeits any advantage their supporters try to claim.
