Morten Anderson started kicking right around the time I was wrapping rubber bands around cards and keeping them in a shoebaox, by the time he retired I had already been divorced twice!! That man played forever it seemed!

Here's another.

What years before 1986 did Topps not issue a rookie card of an eventual baseball hall of famer?

Maury Wills, played 1959-1966 without a baseball card? First Topps card was 1967.

Oops! Not in the HOF.

I call Trick Question B.S. Every HOF player in the post-war era eventually had a card issued by Topps, therefore, a "rookie" card. Now if you mean no card issued for his rookie season, there are probably a few of those, for which I'm still trying to come up with one.

Nolan Ryan played in 1966, but didn't have a rookie card in 1967.

The one set that pops into my head is 81 topps. Then there's 53 and I'm pretty sure 1970.

Pretty sure there isn't a hall of famer rookie card in any of those sets although Tim Raines may knock the 81 set outta that eventually.

Yes 53, 70, 81, & 84. 51 if you want to get technical.

Next question.
What year(s) had the most Topps HoF rookie cards?

Without looking, I'd have to go with '57 also. I collect '65 and it's got to be a close second (Morgan, Carlton, Catfish & Perez).
