Tony I don't see it either. All I see is a Eddie Mathews Rookie that is one sharp card brother. Very Very nice and extremely collectable!

I was thinking the same thing before I even read your comment. SGC got this one WRONG! Resubmit!

Always hard to tell from a scan. It's probably the top edge. Maybe the bottom, too. But my guess is the top edge. The upper left has a bit of a bat-wing look to me. The longer sides look OK.

Wow! Great thread. This is what card collecting is all about. Great Stories about why certain cards are special beyond any monetary value.

Mike(BBO) That Willie Mays "caych" card is absolutely stunning!

I was 7 years old when Roger Staubach gave Tom Landry his first Super Bowl Championship.

From that Point on it was always about who got to be Roger Staubach in the back yard.

Roger Staubach was an absolute hero to us kids throughout the seventies. He represented not only everything a Football player should be, Playing with honor and sportsmanship, but what a human being should be.

Roger Staubach and the rich history of the Dallas Cowboys are the reason Ive had a life long affair with the hobby.

Maybe its just me, but I see people touting these cream puff modern QB's (Manning, Brady, farve, Brees, etc...) as All-Time greats and I just shake my head.

Roger Staubach was the greatest Player Ive ever seen take charge of a Football field, and he did it without all of these "wussy rules" that tilt the game soooo far to the advantage of the offense that Im not sure its really even football anymore.

Roger NEVER ran out of bounds.
Roger Never Slid
Roger Never cried FOUL

Im afraid the days of "tough guy" football is a thing of the past, but as long as I have my cards and the memories of days gone past they will always live on.

Ive had alot of cards in my lifetime, including Baseball and Basketball, but the one constant in all of my collecting years has been Roger Stabauch and my collection starts with him.

Like many of the 72's in my graded set this is a card Ive had in my collection for almost 30 years before I had it graded. Kind of wish I had it in an SGC holder now.

Great anecdotes all!!

Ron, love your Stan Musial Red Heart collection.

What do you think about SGC adding more half grades?

Thanks for looking at my website.

I do not like the new half grades at all. I suppose the lower half grades were necessary to stay competitive with PSA, but do we really need three grades between ex-mt and near mint?

The change does not affect me that much since most of my collection is SGC 84 or better. However, I do not think the change was very well thought out. No one asked my opinion.

At least, PSA indicates if a card has been reviewed and not upgraded. You can tell by the new label. With SGC, you will not be able to see. So, when you see an SGC 80, you will not know if it has been submitted for upgrade or not.

What that means, is when I see a PSA 6 with an old label, I think that it might bump. When I see an SGC 80, I think that it probably didn't bump already. That translates to lower prices for SGC cards.

Plus, I find it strange, that with all the turmoil and unanswered questions the last two years, that this would be the kind of change coming from SGC now.

Here is my second favorite card.
