Yeah I couldnt believe it. Just the other day I was looking at boxes of hostess products for a little over a dollar and now they are demanding premiums. I could have funded my collection by buying up hostess products and selling on ebay. How bizarre this is getting.

Hostess brand will not be a thing of the past. Someone will purchase the name, move to Mexico, and ship the product back to us.

Are there card panels on the back?

Just regular ole Boxes of Twinkies in the store now?

I don't get it. You mean people are buying boxes of Twinkies because they think they will be collector items down the road? You have to be kidding, Right?

I would not be surprised if some of the Hostess

the bankruptcy.

I heard Dennis Miller say last night, and I’m paraphrasing, “ obama won’t jump in to save Twinkies because Michele is too busy trying to ban the hamburger.”

I love Dennis Miller.

Now Wal-Mart workers are threatening to walk off the job on Black Friday due to low pay and inadequate health benefits. Here's a suggestion: Don't work at Wal-Mart. I hope WM fires them all and replaces them with returning veterans.

I don't see any reason to insult returning veterans that way. Retail is the pits. Why would they want to work at Wal-Mart?

A returning veteran might snap in Wal Mart, bad idea to have them working there. Every time I go into Wal Mart I wanna get out fast! It reminds me that alot of Americans can be as nasty as Iraqi or Afgahni national's. Sad but true.

It wasn't meant to be an insult. Veterans are having a hard time finding jobs when they return. I'm not saying they have to work there forever, it's more of a stepping stone. Replace the lazy bums working there (no, not all of them are that way) with good people that do want to work. When I got out of the Army, the job market was really bad. I had to take a job at Macy's working in the women's shoe department. The position itself wasn't that bad, but the pay/benefits sucked. But I did what I had to do. But I loved my job, getting to rub women's legs all day. But my point is that it was just a stepping stone while I went to college and I think it would be good for vets.

Didnt take it that way, a jobs a job just meant that Wal Mart is full of people that are completly differnt from the type of people military people are use to dealing with on a daily basis. I have been molded by the Marine Corps for the last 19 years, I hate to admit it but it happened to me.....I went into Wal Mart after a 13 month deployment to Iraq and had to get out, I could smell the guy 4 people in front of me! Reminded me of my first impression of the country after getting on the bus at Camp Victory, I could smell the Iraqi driver all the way in the back! That bad. Ok lets talk cards sorry for the rant

For some reason, Al Bundy (Married With Children) comes to mind right about now. Please, yes, let's get back to cards. I've got to get this picture out of my mind.

Nobody said anything was wrong with shopping at Wal-Mart. I love Wal-Mart, probably my favorite store. I even like the employees - they always seem friendly (at least at the Wal-mart that I shop at). My point was that if some of them don't like the pay and want better benefits, then they should look for work elsewhere. A Wal-Mart position is what it is. Didn't they know that when they were hired? Why are they complaining now? I say get them the heck out and get some people in there that really do want to work whether it be a returning solder, some college kid or anybody else.

There were times I felt like Al Bundy. Being Macy's, we had "better quality" (I couldn't think of another way to describe it) women customers. It's not like it was Payless. However, we did get some fat women on occasion that wanted to claim they were two sizes smaller than they actually were. I did my best to hide when I saw them walking into our department.

Because comprehension of the English language is a lost art. I don’t have to defend my post because there was nothing to defend. I said I hope Wal-Mart fires anybody that strikes and replaces them with returning veterans. What was wrong with that? Is it a big secret that Wal-Mart employees thousands of returning veterans? Did I let the cat out of the bag on that one?

http://news.walmart.com/news-archive/201...merican-renewal

From the article… We love to hire veterans. Veterans not only have a record of performance under pressure, but they are educated and technologically savvy; quick learners; and team players. Walmart actively recruits former military personnel, offering programs to help them transition into civilian jobs.

I've never taken Dave's comment to be malicious.

It may be because he's so dogmatic and is quick to argue. This even when he is proven wrong: (1) stated that Brady & Rodgers were the two most over rated QB's, when both Brady and Rodgers have clearly over achieved in the pros, relative to their stock coming out of college; (2) changed the subject to argue Peyton Manning is great when Manning has clearly under achieved in the area of winning championships; (3) hammers home the belief that Kansas State plays a tough schedule and is on its way to a BCS championship, can easily beat Notre Dame and Alabama, then loses to .500 Baylor; (4) says Alabama (and entire SEC) is over rated, when the last six BCS titles were won by SEC teams and Bama won 2 of last 3, and is now back in the picture for a 3rd; (4) Romney was going to beat Obama (didn't happen); (5) due to election outcome, his dire predictions of stock market meltdown by 4-5 thousand points by January 31, mass layoffs, etc. are proving to be bad advice; and (6) guarantees wagering outcomes and outright victories by Mississippi State over Alabama and LSU over Alabama when he has no better prophetic vision of the future than anyone else.

Takes free wheeling editorial license to mis-quote and change what others type on posts, then uses it against them. Plus he thinks he's on a junior high playground and calls out another member to meet him at a fast food restaurant where he vows to bad mouth that member's mother to his face, then comes on the board to announce when he's leaving to head to the restuarant, that he will be video taping the entire event and reports back with a receipt showing what he ordered.

Fills the board with filthy name-calling and dirty jokes. Sets up a fake membership and impersonates another member's icon. Drags up so-called evidence from other board's activity over ten years old without considering falsifications and lies by his so-called sources.

Those may be just a few of the reasons.
