I couldn't agree more with brick's proclamation above, but I believe K-St and Oregon could (likely) beat Alabama.
Look at the trouble bama had with the uptempo offense of A&M. I think K-St and Oregon would do the same. Both offenses can score and score fast

Funny thought occurred to me whilst traveling this week and listening to all the talking heads on satellite radio.

Say the top three all lose one game prior to the end of the regular season. Let's also say Florida upsets Florida State. Unlikely, but in a rivalry game, anything is possible.

Should all that occur and looking at the current BCS standings, that means the winner of the SEC Championship (Alabama or Georgia) would play Florida in the BCS Championship.

Makes perfect sense because SEC football is championship football, for the past 6-7 years anyway, so why change a good thing?

Pure genius.

I'd make a lousy gambler, but when it comes to epic big-time prophetic calls, well, decide for yourself.

Foolish to count chickens before hatched, but now that the door is wide open, does anyone really think Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide players will let Georgia (or Auburn) keep them out of the Title Game?

Of course, if ND loses to USC (pre-season #1 and after losing to UCLA, madder than a wet hen on a Tyson chicken farm truck headed to the slaughter house), one could just cancel the BCS championship game and declare the winner of the Alabama-Georgia game (the real championship) as the 2012 college football king. When these other pretenders start playing a schedule worthy of a champion, i.e., join the SEC like A&M and Mizzou did, let me know.

Texas A&M vs. Alabama rematch, anyone? Probably the two best college football teams at this point in the year anyway. As Ernie Banks was known to say before a doubleheader, "Let's play two."

Agree. Any team in the SEC would have been a better representative than those pretenders.
