Didnt take it that way, a jobs a job just meant that Wal Mart is full of people that are completly differnt from the type of people military people are use to dealing with on a daily basis. I have been molded by the Marine Corps for the last 19 years, I hate to admit it but it happened to me.....I went into Wal Mart after a 13 month deployment to Iraq and had to get out, I could smell the guy 4 people in front of me! Reminded me of my first impression of the country after getting on the bus at Camp Victory, I could smell the Iraqi driver all the way in the back! That bad. Ok lets talk cards sorry for the rant

I had to take a job at Macy's working in the women's shoe department. But I loved my job, getting to rub women's legs all day.
For some reason, Al Bundy (Married With Children) comes to mind right about now. Please, yes, let's get back to cards. I've got to get this picture out of my mind.

Nobody said anything was wrong with shopping at Wal-Mart. I love Wal-Mart, probably my favorite store. I even like the employees - they always seem friendly (at least at the Wal-mart that I shop at). My point was that if some of them don't like the pay and want better benefits, then they should look for work elsewhere. A Wal-Mart position is what it is. Didn't they know that when they were hired? Why are they complaining now? I say get them the heck out and get some people in there that really do want to work whether it be a returning solder, some college kid or anybody else.

There were times I felt like Al Bundy. Being Macy's, we had "better quality" (I couldn't think of another way to describe it) women customers. It's not like it was Payless. However, we did get some fat women on occasion that wanted to claim they were two sizes smaller than they actually were. I did my best to hide when I saw them walking into our department.

Dave, how come everybody takes your comments the wrong way(myself included)? It seems you are always defending you posts.

Because comprehension of the English language is a lost art. I don’t have to defend my post because there was nothing to defend. I said I hope Wal-Mart fires anybody that strikes and replaces them with returning veterans. What was wrong with that? Is it a big secret that Wal-Mart employees thousands of returning veterans? Did I let the cat out of the bag on that one? http://news.walmart.com/news-archive/201...merican-renewal
From the article… We love to hire veterans. Veterans not only have a record of performance under pressure, but they are educated and technologically savvy; quick learners; and team players. Walmart actively recruits former military personnel, offering programs to help them transition into civilian jobs.

I understood what you said and agree. It seems like a lot of touchy guys here take things the wrong way.

I've never taken Dave's comment to be malicious. I think some go out of their way to try and start an arguement.
