Two winning tickets were sold for the $580,000,000 lottery. One in Arizona. One in Missouri.
trex lives in Missouri. I'm just sayin'.
BTW, trex, I really look forward to all your posts on this board on any subject. You're the most knowledgeable and insightful member here. And I think you have a nice collection, too. Especially those sharp Gaylord Perry cards. Just wanted to say that.

Okay, let's put an end to all the speculation. I wasn't the one in MO that won the lottery. If I had been, after I had set up the best financial advisers money could buy, then attorneys, then after maybe a year or so, after I was firmly settled in, I dunno, Idaho or Montana, within walking distance to a trout stream, I would have come forward and said, "okay folks, send me your card wish lists." And, they would have been filled. Wonder what the folks across the street would have to say then? And no, I don't own a convenience store.
Now, BBO and gaugeman, you both are way too kind. BBO, the 1959 set of yours is the most awesome complete years set I've seen. For you to compliment me on my little set is about the ultimate compliment...thank you. Gaugeman, I dunno what to say about you, but I am truly honored by your words. I suppose it's the ultimate compliment to be accepted by your peers, and to be accepted by you two is beyond words. I don't know that I've ever been anyone's favorite, other than favorite A hole. I think a good "ah shucks it was nothin" is in order.
In all seriousness though, it won't be long until my one year anniversary of finding out about this board and becoming a member, after being totally disillusioned about what collecting is all about from across the street. I can honestly say I have come in contact with some of the most knowledgeable collectors in the hobby. The amount of knowledge I have obtained from the members on this board is beyond words.
But more importantly than that I have met some truly exceptional friends. I feel as though I've known some of y'all for years even though I've never met and probably never will meet most if not all of y'all. I realize one can be anyone the want to be behind a keyboard, but after a bit the true person comes out. One member I talk with on the phone fairly regularly, a couple more have my address and we exchange cards on a fairly regular basis. This from one of the most private person you'll ever meet, me.
So, thank you, with me, what you see is what you get, and with that it's my wife's birthday and we're going to celebrate. Read into that what you may.

So, then, it's OK to call you in a couple of minutes?
I like you even if you didn't win the lottery. Like my dad always said, "You can't lose unless you play."
