Posted to show that centering is not the "end-all to be-all" in sportscard collecting. Both KRB and SMtJoy correctly point out the coloring advantage the 88 has over the 92. When coupled with the slight focus/register improvement of the 88 over the 92, those features outdistance the centering advantage of the 92, the corners being virtually identical.

To the untrained eye or casual observer, either card is fine for the grade and a half-grade difference is merely a distinction without a significant difference in this case. The cards could be switched in the two holders and few would gripe about it.

Interesting that those who voted, it was 3-3 with just the raw scans to view.

I was somewhat conflicted when looking at these (for all of the points previously mentioned) but in the end I thought that I would have preferred the centering......

Both have acceptable centering. So the centering debate just ain't here on these two cards.

That being said, I don't see a big enough difference in the color/registration to make me not want to go with the slightly better centered 92.

Centering will always rule out for me on cards that are that close.

Then again you guys already knew that! LOL

Still torn as to which one to keep, so I'll offer either one (not both) for sale. I'll keep the one that remains.

I'll part with the 88 for $65, delivered. I'll surrender the 92 for $99.

Unfortunately I don't do Baseball. But if I did I would be all over one of these!

I can't say for sure that I wouldn't save the 30 bucks and go for the 88.
