Absolutely beautiful cards. That Burgess is one of my all-time favorite cards. I just love the pic/pose.

I checked VCP on those. They're from Greg Bussineau's auction earlier this month. The history on pricing is amazing. The Burgess which sold for $990, originally sold on eBay on 10/18/11 for $1,451. The Drews was $930 and originally sold on Memory Lane 12/18/11 for $2,406. The Meyer was $870 with no other sale on VCP, meaning it could have been a bump up from an 8.
So either you got some outstanding buys or the market has fallen completely off the table. A third possibility is that sellers should steer clear of some auction houses.

Same exact cards, those first two.
If you're giving it away, I know at least two people who wouldn't mind having it. I don't know about cammb, but I'll even reimburse you the shipping.

Awesome cards, its also a lesson why you have to be smart even with VCP prices, I see that a lot with the AH's (some a lot more than others) as well as you will see trends like that from the ebay consignors.

VCP is not as perfect as a price guide as some people think.2 examples i have encountered r i was trying to trade a guy a 6 for his 7 on a common card.He liked to trade by VCP so i told him to look them up.My 6 showed higher than his 7,needless to say the trade wasnt made.I was trying to buy a tough 55 Topps so the guy was telling me one had just sold for 495.00,so i get the VCP sure enough a BIN was sold at 495.00 but less than a week before 1 at an ebay auction had sold for 300.00.I just didnt think i needed to use a guys judgement that was too lazy to look around for a better deal than a BIN offer. With no intrinsic value cards r always going to be all over the place.Big clue to value is if ur wanting to sell something,it is worth what u can get out of it.
