I wanted to go ahead and start a new thread for 2013. I think some people got confused with the other thread by posting their 2013 goals, but that thread was for 2012.
I have 3 collecting goals - finish '54, '55 and '56 Topps sets. Here is what I lack:
1954 Topps Baseball:

I think this year needs to be a year of focus for me. Once the focus is figured out, sort through everything for a big sell off to help finance the focus.
On a positive note, I did win a white whale (not received yet) recently, that I have been chasing for a couple of years. It would certainly land in the focus category.

I want to try and get to 100% of the 58 Topps set if possible. That is if I can convince SGC to remove the Card #433b Poncho Herrera card. Just cant see paying that much for that card.

I just checked and its not included in the PSA basic set, not that SGC should always follow them but imo now way should an error be included in a basic set. Call earl or michael, I do know they have issues with the registry and I am not sure they can delete a card from an established set, I know adding them is a nightmare.

2 - Begin AND finish my room for displaying my collection.
3 - Get my '77 Topps set started and upgraded.

In 2012, December has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays. This apparently happens once every 823 years!

looking to
1. Get above 96% on my 1974 Topps set in PSA 9 (or close)
2. Finish my R312 set and get into SGC holders
3. Get a few more T205 maybe a nice HOF or 2
4. NOT start any new sets !!!

Here are my top 3-
1. Knock out 1 really tough Clemente (58 Kahns, 62 Pittsburgh Exhibit, 68 Topps 3D, 63 Bazooka Box, 69 Transogram full box and figure, etc list is about 25 cards I am looking for)
2. Continue to work on completing my exhibit run, I want to get under 60 cards needed and hope to complete 2 of the 8 sets I have close!
3. Look to add 3 cards to my Big 30 set, continue to work on a few of my other small projects while I wait for the biggies I am looking for. I need to focus much more here in 2013.

Wow thats one hell of a challenge, all T210. Good luck, I have been working on the T210-3 and im not even half and it slow going and has been a few years, I cant imagine going for all of them.

My Big 30 set is a collection of 30 cards of my all time favorite players in all sports. I follow some pretty simple rules I only allow two cards max from any one set, the card has to be one of my favorites of that player (no fillers), I do allow changes in the cards if I find one I like more but once I hit 30 cards I must remove a card to add a new one. I currently only have 12 of the cards and have been adding 1-3 for the last couple years.
To me its a fun way to focus on my favorite players and try to get one special card of each.

Blackie- My final decision is 1951 Bowman, at least it is this month
What condition are you looking for on the '51 Bowman, and are you going for raw or graded?

I have been waffling and wavering about what to do post '53 Topps Baseball. I had always planned to work my way through all the 1950s sets, but got distracted with thoughts of Bowman, especially '50 Bowman baseball, which is nice. I think I have regained my focus and will stick with '54 Topps and do a little tweaking and upgrading in my '53 set. When we talk about our goals this time next year, I expect to be still working on the same stuff just further down the road. I will be collecting in the 5-6.5 range with graded stars and mostly raw commons. That's pretty much how I did the '53 set. There's just something about 1950s Topps baseball cards!!
