I plan on sending it... I purchased it from a very reputable site and if by chance it came back not authentic I know they would give me a full refund, but I'm not worried about it not being the real deal... Thanks

Good to here Scott.

When sending it in, it is the same to ask for grading or authentication, you will need to check the box to slab any card even if its an Auth thou. Worth doing because SGC might determine it is a factory cut and it will get a number, I have had a small number I though might be trimmed come back graded.

On the specials, they do change every month. So be prepared to wait a few months to send in cards under a special, imo its worth the wait.

Unless it is a T206 Wagner, then different rules may apply.

Stop whatever it is you're currently doing, run to the phone, call the place you got it from and tell them you want to return it for a full refund. That card is a fake! It couldn't be any more fake. The colors are all wrong. I know there are sometimes color variations in baseball cards, but that isn't the case with this one. Look below. I've put yours side by side to one that is graded by PSA. Notice the color differences? The most noticable telltale sign in the cap. It is the same color as the sleeves. It should be much darker blue - almost black. Look at any other '48 Leaf DiMaggio - you'll see they're all the same - blueish/black cap. No way the sleeves should be the same color as the hat. Good luck!

According to eBay, that card is the 4th most commonly counterfeited card.

One last thing, if you've never returned a card for a refund, you may want to educate yourself on that so you do not get burned. There are procedures that you have to follow to ensure you get your money back. Plenty of board members here (myself included) will be happy to help you. Just let us know.

It's not fake... The 1948/49 leaf set had a terrible coloring procedure... Therefore there are a lot of what seems to be variations in color scheme... I've seen the background yellow on the dimaggio and bright green... I know for sure it is not a reproduction but thank you for your concern
Check out these ... And they are all graded
