28-0 right before half time. This game is over. Congrats to Alabama and their fans.

I'm going to flip channels and try to find something more entertaining...like Honey Boo Boo (Not!)

Son just called and said his buddy said "BK will make the adjustments and bring them back."

I told my son, "YEA, NICK SABAN, is going to be outcoached in a halftime adjustment" lolol

Naw, they are from Georgia, so pretty sure they are Bulldogs. I think the Mom played for the Dawgs from 89-92 before blowing out a knee.

Another awesome display of SEC beatdown of an opponent in a National Championship Game. This never gets old. Seven (7) years running. Sure didn't look like an overrated defense to me. Sure doesn't look like an overrated conference to me. Sure doesn't look like anyone from any other conference could hang with the Tide Tonight. Not the Pac-10. Not the Big 10. Certainly not the Big (little) 12.

Any haters and doubters might want to have a serious discussion with each other. The SEC is the only Dominant Football Conference. All pretenders please take a seat in the back of the bus and by all means, get off at the next stop. Alabama is still at the wheel.

Next.

bbo, great post and couldn't agree more.

Living in the middle of this Big 12 HELL, I have to always defend my SEC love.

When the SEC's 5th place team, kicks the living dog crap out of the Big 12's Co CHAMPION, that speaks for a lot.

There is no argument here in the deep south that Alabama is the best of the best. Here in the SEC we are very curious and keeping our shot group tight on a Strong Georgia and Texas A&M team that will be a force next year. Aggieland has establlished a strong presence in the conference and the newely assigned coaches for Arkansas, Auburn, Tenessee will surely have an impact. Gus Malazan will rebuild Auburn....its just a matter or time. Arkansas will rebuild and regroup and Alabama.........well they will quite possibly continue to ROLL TIDE. Alabama picks up top recruits year in and year out. Its amazing to see how folks continue to take shots at Florida and LSU (becuase of bowl game losses)....well thats fine but any given Saturday in the South these teams are whooping ass and taking names. Yes they lost their bowl games but don't think for one minute they won't be back and regroup.

There is a big misconception that SEC fans are arrogant...........WE are not. We are proud of the traditions of the programs we establish and the love of the game runs deep. Always has.......always will. There was a point to prove on the field last night..........it was proven.

Im just writing this to get it off my chest after reading some pretty one sided blogs by the haters out there (not on the SGC boards but other sports boards). No matter what happens in the future the Tide won and won big. It is what is..........

ROLL TIDE

Blackie, you are most assuredly correct. Those without same traditions do not and will not ever understand it. Their loss.

All you have to do is be within about a 100 mile radius of a Tuscaloosa, AL, a Fayetteville, AR, a Knoxville, TN, Athens, GA, Gainsville, FL on any given Saturday afternoon in the fall and one would quickly understand the pride that runs so deep in these communities. How that can be misconstrued as arrogance is beyond me. It's also one heck of a party.

Don't forget "The Tree" in Auburn or "The Walk" in Oxford just prior to the "Hoddy Toddy" chants. Heck, it's even true in Starkville, Nashville and Lexington. Bear established it in Lexington in the 50's, Fran Curci resurrected it in the 70's and Rich Brooks carried it into the 2000's when lowly Kentucky went to five straight bowl games.

Something about the South.

Congrats to Bama, not really shocking but thought they would wear them down in the 2nd half not from opening kick-off on!N.D. had a great season but was out man in this game.I am really hoping for N.C. game that we all can enjoy, blowouts suck!! The Clemson/LSU game was awesome, we need more of that.
