Blackie, you are most assuredly correct. Those without same traditions do not and will not ever understand it. Their loss.

All you have to do is be within about a 100 mile radius of a Tuscaloosa, AL, a Fayetteville, AR, a Knoxville, TN, Athens, GA, Gainsville, FL on any given Saturday afternoon in the fall and one would quickly understand the pride that runs so deep in these communities. How that can be misconstrued as arrogance is beyond me. It's also one heck of a party.

Don't forget "The Tree" in Auburn or "The Walk" in Oxford just prior to the "Hoddy Toddy" chants. Heck, it's even true in Starkville, Nashville and Lexington. Bear established it in Lexington in the 50's, Fran Curci resurrected it in the 70's and Rich Brooks carried it into the 2000's when lowly Kentucky went to five straight bowl games.

Something about the South.

Congrats to Bama, not really shocking but thought they would wear them down in the 2nd half not from opening kick-off on!N.D. had a great season but was out man in this game.I am really hoping for N.C. game that we all can enjoy, blowouts suck!! The Clemson/LSU game was awesome, we need more of that.
