Here are pics... How do you think they would grade? I'm waiting on Earl to get back to me on what the best presentation would be... Cut out the cards or leave as a panel..

Scott

Those are absolutely amazing pieces!

I don't care what Earl or any TPGers say, I would NEVER cut them cards off that original Post panel.
In fact I might even argue that I would not even remove them from the magazine. What is the Magazine?

Tough choice here, as it would surely kill me to not display those panels INTACT outside the Magazine. Kind of like weather to open vintage wax or not. Im a ripper though. LOL

Nice pieces indeed.

John

I guess I can leave them as is in the magazine but I was really hoping to be able to grade the panel with the tab... So all I would have to do is remove a staple and slide out the entire panel with the life ad attached...

I think the entire panel is too long to be slabbed if I remember right. I think the ones I have seen were cut in half at the seam and staple holes.

Ok, so I feel the overall census is I should leave them intact or try to remove them without removing the tab. I might just leave them intact, but I still would like to display them somehow.
Here is my other question...In the condition they are, not that I sell my items....what value would you place on them in the condition they are? Thank you

The whole magazine sells for $50 to $150. Mine are mint still attached. If you wantb to present them, then I suggest you buy another magazine and remove those.

I've seen these before and I've thought about picking one up just because I think they look neat. Does anybody know if the cards (and/or magazine) has ever been reproduced or counterfeited?

I know the first edition of Sports Illustrated was reproduced some years back and from what I've seen it's hard to tell the difference. I just wanted to know if these were reproduced as well and, if so, is there any way to spot them?
