Tough day for baseball fans. First Earl Weaver and now
heard Stan Musial passed away earlier this evening.

RIP!

Hope they meet up on the other side. Oops! Just watched the youtube video of one of Earl's meltdowns. Maybe he won't make it, unless he changed his ways since then.

Blackie, I've got good news and bad news. The good news is, there IS baseball in heaven. The bad news is, you're scheduled to pitch next Thursday. \:\)

What if you have to face The Mick, Stan the Man, Teddy Baseball and Babe in the top of the first? Who you going to pitch around?

Very sad. I haven't felt well since I heard the news. Went to have dinner with the girlfriend and I just didn't even feel like eating. There aren't many really true greats left anymore.

I met him at a show in Arlington (TX) several years ago. He signed a 16X20 for me that hung in my office for the longest time.

RIP, Stan. I grew up watching the tail-end of his career. I remember being really sad the day he retired, but nothing compared to the sadness I felt yesterday evening when I heard the news.

Never was associated with any scandal whatsoever, played his entire career with one team, devoted husband and father of four. Played for the love of the game, and nothing more.

Not a bad harmonica player either.
