I hadn't ever thought of this before:

Take a 1952 (to 1956) large card, trim it down to fit into a holder for a post-1956 card, use the label for a cracked out large card and voila! Instant Success.

Most would stay away with only a feeback of 2.
Sounds kinda f'ed up on the story.
I did see it had a sticker for collectors universe on the back of it --LOL
also looking for 52 #311 A variation mantle
