I'll take:
Miami over Marquette (in a bloody war),
Wichita St over LaSalle (in the Cinderalla special),
Syracuse over Indiana (in OT)

and (upset special) Arizona over ohio stateless. [missed it by "that much."]

At last year's Final Four in New Orleans, on Sunday after Kansas bounced Ohio State in the semi-finals, I saw DeShaun Thomas walking around in a trance-like daze on Bourbon Street. He was NOT happy. I asked if he expected to be in the Championship Game. He said, "Definitely. This sucks."

So I expect a big game from him tonight, but Arizona has too much size and strength down low and their point guard will give Aaron Craft fits.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

I can't disagree with your picks. The only issue I have is will Arizona show up. If they do, turn out the lights. If they don't, and THE Ohio Staeless shows up, it might get ugly. I think the key to Arizona is if they have a good first half, watch how they come out in the second half. If they come out strong, it's over. If not, well it could be a long second half. But, they do seem to be on a roll.

Well, this evening hasn't started off well. Good thing I don't gamble. Sure didn't see that coming. Marquette had (a) the perfect game plan, (b) the best coach and (c) the best players on the floor tonight. That was scary good what they did to Miami's senior-laden squad. What a great tourney this year. Full of surprises.

I will be back tomorrow for a fresh round of picks. (No comments from the mezzanine section.)

Shocked me too bbo. I thought Miami was final four bound
after the first weekend.

Well Mike. 0 for 2, we're not doing too good. If i ever decide to go to Vegas, remind me not to tell you I'm going.

Perhaps, you should stick to card grading and I should stick to....well I'll surely think of something.

From the mezzanine.

But, yes quite the tournament

I did better with the 'Cuse. I knew Indy was soft, just like the pro QB they used to have in that state full of Hoosiers. I righted the ship with Wichita State. 2-for-2 won't get you much, but I'll take it after being down 2-zip.

Wish someone had told me Shane Larkin (Miami point guard, and Barry Larkin's son, was up all night barfing). Also wish someone had told me Arizona wouldn't play defense for the final shot. Actually, Arizona is known for laying down on defense and I knew that. I just dislike ohio stateless and enjoy it when they lose. Doesn't look as if that's going to happen for a while.

Arizona was the one I was real uneasy about. That team could be playing for the championship, conversely they could have gone out in the first round.

Hey, in this tournament I'd say if you get 50% right you're doing pretty good.

Much easier picks tonight... \:\)

'Ville over Ducks
State over Dook
Gators snuff out FGCU's dream
and
Michigan in an upset over Rock Chalk, going against the "defense wins" truism that this tournament is becoming known for.

Interesting that 3 of last year's Final Four (Lou, Kans, OhSt) are still alive. 'Cuse and Fla, Elite 8 teams from 2012, are still alive. Cinderellas are for the first week. Real basketball is played when it gets down to 16.
