Now you went and done it Rob!

96 MINT! The cards start to take on another level of beauty when you get to that grade and then it become like a drug habit where you start to crave that high end card more and more! LOL

That is a freakin beautiful card! Now you'll have to get all your 58's like that! I pity your wallet now! LOL

John

Greg L. is a golf pro. Money to burn down there in the sunshine state. He can afford for you to get lucky every once in a while. Nice pickup.

I just looked at the VCP history of the card:
10/2009 Mile High sold it for $129.
04/2011 eBay Prewarcardcollector sold it for $77.
12/2012 eBay sale, probably to your seller for $93.
04/2013 your acquisition for roughly half that.

Yeah, a buddy of mine basically unloaded his entire graded collection in 2008 before the financial crisis and he's looking very smart these days. Pop reports and Registry competition - a dangerous combination. Didn't quite reach the Tulip Mania of the 1600's in Holland, but close.

Scott and Mike, I feel like it was a good pickup for a 96 under 45 bucks. That doesnt happen all that often so im pretty excited to add it not to mention I was able to help Dan out with my SGC 84 of that card.

Guys what do you think should be my focus right now? Should I complete the set to its fullest reaching my initial goal of 100% or get caught in the whirlwind of upgrading what i already have? Its a tough call in my simple mind I guess. I can't turn down good deals on SGC 88's in better especially if Im sitting at a EX copy of a card compared to a strong NM to NMMT or even Mint. Im sure you all have the strong urges to pull the trigger (if the price is right) for upgrades.

Upgrade when you can improve a card by two full grades (60 to 84, or 70 to 86, or 80 to 88, etc). Don't be sucked into 88 to 92 or even 88 to 96. Going from 84 to 86 is a totally side-ways move. Never pay to do that.

As for focus, only you can control that. Me? I'd get over 90% at least, maybe 95% before I started another set or spent a lot of time, effort and money on upgrades. Unless they fell into my lap.
