With its simple card design and lack of a Big name Rookie card in the set, the 1960 Topps Football set is often overlooked in favor of many of the other higher profile issues from the decade. I like the simple card design and the set is very affordable. I picked this set up from "BigDaddyBowman" a prominent member of the messege board community.

The set featured many very nice NM or better cards, but like any of the Topps issues, centering often varies. As a centering freak I have upgraded a few cards in the set and still pick up a card here and there when I see one that has nice centering. Key cards are: Forrestt Greg Rookie, Jim Brown, John Unitas, Bart Starr, Paul Hornung.

The 1960 Topps Football Set features 132 cards.

Nice set BigRed! Great centering on your cards. I see a lot
of OC cards from that year for sure.

No really outright miscut cards, but there are plenty of cards I would like to have better centering.

Its not a set that Im actively working on that hard, But I would like to pick up a better centered John Unitas Card #1. I also don't like the "Print spots" on it. It is a very clean card though. With that whacked out crazy stare, I don't believe the 1960 John Unitas is one of his more desirable issues.

The Alan Ameche card #2 is more to my Liking. I just think a nice centered NM card is much more eye appealing than a NM-MT o/c card.

Card #3 Lenny Moore
Again better centering on this card would be preferred.

Card #4 Raymond Berry
Now this is more like it. a hint on that top corner, but so much more eye appealing.

Card #5 Jim Parker
My OCD for centered cards always leads me to wanting perfect centering on every card. In the case of this "Big" Jim Parker I could probably live with it, but if the right one popped up right in front of me I would likely oust this card in favor of a better centered one as well.

A few from my recent find. Unfortunately, no Unitas, Brown or Starr.
