When is the last time you started to collect a new set? What were the circumstances? Did you stick with it? What set did you pick? I've been getting a little bored lately collecting the same '57, 71, '75 but also don't want to jump into something I'll later abandon. If I were to start one here are a few candidates: '59 Topps, 70 Topps, 73 Topps, '55 Bowman (in that order of preference). Then again, I might not go down the long tenuous road of set colleting....Your thoughts.

Started a new long term set with the help of an awesome board member. Here are few cards from the set to give you a clue which one.

Pat I guess I love the 55 Bowman and 59 Topps sets the best. Im not a big fan of any sets of the 1970's though I was born in those years. I think there is another board member here who can help ya get started on the 55 Bowman set too.

Started my 1972 Topps Football. SO HARD to get those high's when i constantly see other stuff like T-Cards, E120's and graded star cards from the 50's going for cheap. All my $$ goes to them instead of the 72 high's.

Just my opinion, but the 73 Baseball set is a fun one to collect. One of my most enjoyable ones I have ever done. If your going to start one, do that one!

I know where you can get a good start on one:

1959 - in just about any grade you want. More 86 and 84 than any other grade, but a few 88 and 80 as well.

The last set I tackled was 1952 that cammb gave me a head start on about 16-18 months ago. The highs are brutal, but the lows are a snap in mid-grade. Here's my SGC graded cards in that set: Might talk me out of some of these

I have started and parted with about 6 different sets in the last 7 or 8 months. I currently have my '53 Topps on Ebay, because I am now going to give 1955 Topps a shot. I am hoping this is the set that will do it for me. Out of your choices, I might try the '55 Bowman.

Blackie- nice choice on the 1954 Topps. Those are some beauties.
