Im sure it is a nightmare. Scott is spot on with almost everything ive ever heard him say in relation to sportscards. Is there any way you can get a refund?

I believe they said there is no refunds. After this experience I will never trust anyone selling items of this sort. Just makes me sick to my stomach that I spent over 775 dollars on two items plus 60 dollars in shipping. I have never been a gambler or took any risk like this before because I don't have the income to do that, but I just thought for sure it was real and thought it was a chance to finally get ahead and all it did was drag me further down. Not trying to cry about my life, but geezzz can I get a break. Why do people in this world have to be so cruel and sick. I even talked to them and they said oh I had 4 people look at it. I just don't understand why people get away with this!

They ripped you off, throw the no refunds out and demand one or tell them you are calling the police. They claimed they were selling you a real Ruth Rookie and they did not. So either they made a mistake and can refund your money or you go to the police and file a report and state you didn't get want you agreed to purchase. Dont let them slide, even if you dont get your money back make sure they do not screw anyone else. I know a number of people who got there money back after getting the police involved. If it was done by mail contact the USPS as its now mail fraud and they can help.

Yes listen to Scott and do it quick dont delay. This is serious fraud and if they done it to you then they have quite possibly scammed others. Be very careful with cards not graded by PSA or SGC. I pray you get your money back quickly.

Thank you both I will get on it first thing in the morning. I didn't buy it from ebay. I bid on it at an auction online. Thank you once again for your help. I will keep you up to date on what happens. And once I prove they are fakes I will make sure to let everyone know so it doesn't happen to others.

I think the problem will be proving that it is actually a fake - to the police. You're probably going to need to have the card authenticated (or not) by 3rd party Grading Company. SGC has the following options for fast turnaround :

Grand Slam 5 Business Day Service $25 Any card valued at $1,000 or less
Next Day 48 Hour Service $40 Any card valued at $2,500 or less
Walk Thru Same Day Service $75 Any card valued at $7,500 or less
Immediate 2 Hour Service $200 Any card valued above $7,500

Since you only paid less than $1000 - you can make the case that the value is less than the stated parameters.

Who knows - you might get lucky..... at which point you just made 50K or so...

Jumping into the card business with a 1st purchase of the Ruth Rookie for WAY BELOW book is "iffy" at best.

Best of luck on this thing....
