Reply to threads ^^^

PMs sent to those that inquired.

I have not received the cards yet from REA

I am not interested in the other 52 Berk Ross (other than mantles) There were like 32 cards in that collection i believe.
I am for sure going to keep 1 of the 2 Mantles (Berk Ross)

As for the other lot:
I already have a guy (at Net54) interested in the Dairylea and the Mantle (portrait) Not sure on a price yet???
He has been working with me on gathering some pricing. I am more willing to do business and avoid Ebay. Like at the B/s/t thread on Net54.
But he also tells me i could get more hits on Ebay.

The other items: I am more the card guy, not much interest in photos or sitckers or these jello cards and stamps.
Now if anyone may offer a trade, i am up for some Mantle i do not have, but that be hard to come by since i have so many now.

Friday at work, trying to waste time before checking it in for the weekend, so I stopped in a card shop that I never go to since he deals in mostly new stuff and Starting Lineups. But since I was already right there and needed to waste time, I went in. I found this with a price tag of $2.00!
Unmarked, 1959, not real good shape, but I thought well worth the pocket change I had in the pop holder in the work truck!

Glad you like the buy. BTW, i don't think unmarked team cards are all the rare it's the straight up cl's that tend to be marked (not to bust your bubble)

A tough, but not impossible team card from the beloved 1959 set. Prone to print defects and centering challenges. Yours shows that and some of the love, too. Here's mine I picked up raw in my favorite shop two years ago. SGC got a hold of it and did their deed to it.

Nice card bbo and k-note.

I like them both. Sometimes a well-loved card is great to
own. It just reminds me of the fun and history of the hobby
and how cards were first collected. For $2 you can't go wrong
either.

Back in the day, $2 would've bought more than an entire box of wax packs. 24 x $0.05 = $1.20.

Who had that kind of money in 1959?

goldenhawk, problem is, I STILL spend my lunch money on cards LOLOLOL.

Yes, aconte, for $2,no way I could let it go. and pretty much for the exact reason you stated. a card that old, and in that shape. It is not in Mint, or EX, it has been "used" so it does have "history". And for $2, i wanted to add to that history and give it a good home for the next 50 years.

Picked this up at a small card show, thinks it could grade an 8 but probably 7.5 due to top corners, a slight upgrade to my current NM Rice....
