I forgot to add Staubach..LOL
But Blackie- you should go for those i pm'ed you about (Joe Greene and OJ) Joe goes with Terry.
I love my Montana as well.
My search has been a dead stop, since i got my whale a while back.
I been looking at 51 bowman (mays)-- ita a beauty of a card, hard to find centered nicely.
then of course, my dream to get a Hank Aaron RC decently centered as well.

I did find a nice Tarkenton RC , forgot where?
Im trying to get a Rose RC.

FOOTBALL CARDS!! FOOTBALL CARDS!!

Like some of you others I haven't been spending as much board time. Summer Baseball, family vaction, work and just life in general has kept me pretty busy this summer as usual.

Rob

Its great to see that your collecting focus has become defined to what makes you happy. I understand the appeal of wanting to build a registry set (Ive been there myself) and I know how all consuming it can become. Often times to the point where all your seeing are numbers and labels until one day it hits you that you've lost sight of the cards thenselves and their true meaning, which is what brought you to this place in the first place. Im glad you broke on through.

Congratulations on the Iconic cards!

The Payton and Bradshaw are two of my favorite seventies cards as well. Not for what their worth, but for who and what they did.

Jim,

What can I say? other than your surely now removed from the will and estate!

That Roger is just friggin kick ass!

I know what that card means to you and how proud you must be to have landed such a beautiful copy
of the "Greatest Player" Ive ever seen step onto a football field, as well as one hell of a human being and American. They just don't make em like him no more.

A sparkly Joe Montana to BOOT! No doubt the most undisputed Greatest Since Roger!

You know my obssession with high grade centered football cards and now Im very envious of you.

I hope you will now be kind enough to write me into YOUR estate and will because I just threw my copies away out of embarassment.

Man that Roger is bringing a tear to my eye.

I'll PM ya and we can catch up a bit!

Congrats! to all on all the new beautiful cards!

John

Just added this beautiful KLU to my 1954 registry set. You know it's good when you have to bump on of Randy Stuckemeyer's former cards to upgrade.

Hey, Boyd...what's the secret to posting pictures larger? I hate sweating the small stuff. Any body?

Scan at 300 dpi

crop and resize to 400
(make sure you are viewing the cropped version at the "Actual Size" when you resized to 400)

What kind of scanner are you using?

#1 You need to go into the scanner setting and change the scan size to 300 dpi

#2 Scan the card with the new setting.

#3 open the scan in whatever you are using to edit pictures and scans (Photoshop, Paint shop Pro or the scanner software.

#4 crop the scanned card.

#5 Choose "view Actual Size" from the view menu. It should big quite large.

#6 Choose "Edit Image Size" from the Edit Menu

#7 Enter 400 as the size in the top box (that box should currently read 1000 or more)

#8 save image as a Jpeg.
