Picked up a better copy of one of the toughest if not the toughest cards in the 65Topps Tall boy set which is the last card in the set #176 checklist.

Its a bit tilted but not a crease on it or mark which is what I wanted.

I believe I have told you this before, not sure, but I love the unmarked checklists becasue of the fact that as kids we all shaded them in, OR we tossed them aside because we thought at that time they were a waste.
So now, I LOVE them because of the story it must tell. It was left unmarked because it was more then likely tossed out becasue the child didn't care about it. So where has it been for the 40+ years. Whats its story?

BTW, how is Ruthie doing?????

Hey brother, not sure where this card has been but dang good point your making. Its a wonder how any of these exist and the 65 topps checklists are shortprints too. Im fixing to start a neat little blog concerning the 65 topps football set.

Ruthie is doing real good. As a matter of fact today is her 11th birthday. Hard to believe that she is that old now. She is so excited to have a complete 65 set now and she loves the 64-65 Topps hockey set so im working on that now as well for her. Now I can't lie, I love those cards as well and am doing my best to understand hockey which is not as popular south of the "Mason-Dixon line" but im trying.

She is so exited to share in the hobby with me and with having three girls I finally have one that loves cards as much as I do. So with our two loves cards and Alabama Crimson Tide football we share a lot together.

Thanks so much for asking about her. She is my little angel and is now giving her own insulin shots. Im so very proud of her.

WELL so glad that the 80 card sub is graded......I was certain the grades would be better than this but SGC is tough, very tough. These are Ruthies cards and she should be happy but I sure hope my high grade 30 card sub that is there right now does better. At 20-30 dollars per common I pray they should. Here are the results from the 80 card sub and again thank God I don't sell because I would have lost several hundred dollars:

I am sure Ruthie loves them!!
You two have something that brought you two together. SGC can't put a grade on that :-)
In fact, I would be willing to bet that Ruthie values that time with her Daddy, more then the value of the cards.
