If a card is sent in to PSA and is graded, if somebody else buys the card and sends it in to be re-graded again by PSA, is the serial number the same???

Reason I ask, is I am watching a card on Ebay. I went to look at what it had sold for in the past and i found the exact same card but went from PR to PR-FR1 and still had the same serial number.

I was just curious if this is indeed the same card or if somebody was running a scam with holders and using the same serial numbers.

Hmm.... Good question but im thinking it gets a new cert number. Otherwise do they change the pop report to reflect the change. I know you cant really go by the pop report across the street but its a good point.

Hope this works... Same ID#, two different grades, same card. Also, why would a person resend a card to the same grader? I am sure it happens, but why. The one sold in Late October, supposedly got regraded and is back on Ebay a month and a half later.

I am just a little too Leery of this card.

It's either glare on the slab covering up the "FR" or else the new seller has used some sort of cover up to try to differentiate it. If the latter, why, I don't have a clue? Could be just trying to make a buck or two on the re-list.
