Very nice Blackie. It just amazes me how some of these cards from the 50's still have amazing color. That's what drew me to the non-sport sets. Quite frankly, I have thought a few times about getting rid of all my modern baseball and just do the vintage. I have both, but these old sets are truly worth being saved. Nice scans. Thanks for sharing.

oh by the way Blackie, how is your daughter doing??? I know we don't know each other, but I've been saying a little prayer for her. That diabetes can be rough. I see the football set is coming right along. Anyway, just really wanted you to know there are prayers for her.

Or consider the 1934 Sky Birds set, only 108 cards. And I know where you can find a great mid grade starter set.

Wow! some absolutely beautiful non-sport issues here!

If it's cards, I likely do it! and I love the non-sport issues as well!

Ive fell in love with and have been working on the 1934 Garbaty embossed set.

Ive also picked up a few other Movie Stars Tobacco sets fron the 30's

And its only fitting that it being the holidays that I should leave you with this Gem.

Happy Holidays!!!!
John

Fellows, keep posting the scans. All of them are awesome. As I said in an earlier post, I like the western theme sets, but I enjoy looking at all of them. The movie star cards sure have excellent printing. I've said before it amazes me how nice the printing is on these older cards, and how the colors can just pop right out at you. All in all, let's keep the scans coming. As a thought maybe we could each do a post on a specific set, telling how easy/hard it is to find the cards, what grades are the easiest to find, etc. Just a thought, as I would love to get a strong, vibrant non sport cards forum going.
