It was not even graded. I looked at the picture on eBay and felt the same as you did... it was well worth a chance. It turned out to be a terrific move. The winning bid was $4.25. I can't believe it. I also received word that a 77 Topps #580 Brett I submitted at the same time also graded a 10. Today was a good day. Make that a great day!

I just received word via email about the grades for six cards I submitted recently (including the Carew). I don't have the card yet, but when I get it, I would be happy to send you a picture. You can check out Jackstraw's post on this thread (much earlier); he has a picture of the actual card as it was shown on eBay. Honestly, I really am not too interested in selling the card though. I am just very happy to have made such a great find. I paid a whopping $4.25 for it. Unbelievable. To top that off, I also received word that a 77 Topps #580 Brett also graded a PSA 10.

fellow card junkies
i picked up the 76 strom and locklear sgc 96's from lee last night. i was blambroed on a few others. i have set my limit to 11.00 to 12.00 on the drop dead sure shot commons like strom and locklear. i will wait till more come around or try to find raw.
i am still waiting for the picture of the carew 10 that i told our friend estang to buy on ebay awhile back because i thought it looked real nice. i am wishing i took my own advice. that is if the story is true? 7 days from posting the message seems like along enough time to get from psa and scan?
anybody going to jim's party i hope you enjoy yourself and kind of wished i could go. i just have way too much on my plate right now and also got bumped to second shift for the next few years i like working union but if you don't have seniority it stinks!

It is 100% true. I don't have a scanner or digital camera though, so that causes some difficulty when attempting to scan. I will see if someone at work can scan it for me. The card is legit. Check out PSA's population report and you will now notice one 10 listed.

Thank you Jackstraw. I am not planning on selling either card. I will try to get it scanned for your viewing pleasure sometime next week. I have never posted a scan on this board before though, so wish me luck.

Shoot! I must have missed Jackstraw's post about the ebay auction, as I would have surely placed a bid on this and taken my chances. Good to know it is going to someone who will treasure it in their personal collection.
