Bouffard,
The UBBCode that this forum uses is somewhat limiting. Images are only recognized and displayed properly if they contain one of the standard file extensions such as .jpg, .gif, .bmp, etc.
Try adding the appropriate extension (right click on image and choose properties to determine) or upload it (and save it with the proper extension) to an ftp or image hosting site.

Bouffard,
Many host servers do that on purpose to thwart "hot-linking" -- accessing an image from a remote location and using bandwidth in the process.

Actually 1967 is my birth year. I guess I was a late bloomer as far as collecting goes. I started collecting the '69s at an early age and then kept building and upgrading the set over the years. Completing the '67 set is becoming a high priority.
Have you secured the '76 Brett yet? That's always been a tough card. My favorite has always been the Yeager for some reason. I also like all the Pirates cards since they are my favorite team. I used to rip open packs hoping to get a Frank Tavares or Richie Zisk. Ah the memories.

the first thing that would scare me about the schmidt that you are talking about is
the centering. i am sure marc would attest that card is never centered perfectly.same goes for the carew never perfectly centered.
one thing that puzzles me about the 76 schmidt bgs 9.5 that has been on ebay a couple of times. the centering looks to be the usual short borders and slight diamond cut. i think the card is either legit, over graded or a lousy cut job. last decade and browntoni had the nicest 76 schmidts i have seen via an ebay scan.

Please always feel free to ask me Schmidt questions -- I am always happy to oblige. First off -- on the 1975 Schmidt card, I can tell you that I am the proud owner of a 1975 OPC sheet-cut blank back BVG 9 card. I say proud only because I purchased the card knowing precisely what it was. It provides an exemplar by which I can judge other examples, even if the front of the card is not "realistic" in terms of what would have been achieved by the technology in the day.
As for 1976 Schmidts -- I've got a slew of them. Had I all them here with me in Cambridge, I could probably provide you a good side-by-side analysis. Never the less, I do not. I did eventually come into ownership of the BVG 9.5 example of the card, which does seem to be somewhat different than other contemporanious sheet-cut Schmidt cards. I also own a number of PSA 9 and SGC 96 Schmidt cards from 1976, with varying "defects" in each. Typically, centering and/or print dots tend to be the downfall of that card. Rather than print dots, more of a print snow, which is very common in the issue overall. The Schmidt picture, with much dark background, lends itself to this defect.
Finally, my FAVORITE 1976 Schmidt card is actually a 1976 Topps Mike Schmidt card graded SGC 50. The exceedingly intriguing factor is that it is clearly a Topps card, not an O-Pee-Chee example, but it is printed on white card stock. As to the source of this particular anomoly, I know not. It appears to have been handled and in circulation (hence the low grade), but it provide a bright and stunning contrast to my other Schmidt cards from that year.
