When I am buying the SGC 96's they usually go for around 60 or 70 dollars but when I am selling I get 10 to 20 dollars? Sorry once this hit 25.00 I took it off my watch list! Lets turn back the clock for a minute. Of course this is before the whole registry reward program. 76 Brock SGC 96 I paid 70 dollars for it, 2 months later I sell it for 10.00? 76 Morgan SGC 96 paid almost 80 dollars for it, 2 months later I sell it for 18.00 ?76 Lynn SGC 96 (my own submission) Lee sells for somewhere around 60.00 , 2 months later I sell mine for 12.00? 76 Wagner SGC 96 (my own submission) I get 11.00 for it? I am not in this for the profit or money just for the fun of finding cards that I collected as a kid in 1976. We are a single income family with 3 kids so you can imagine how tight money is? I am pretty much done on ebay for now because it just seems like I get whacked when its something I want but when I go to sell(usually more often I would like to) so I can stay afloat here ,I can't get a sniff of some really nice cards! Take a look a my Nolan Ryans I have on Ebay right now! I got one bid and a couple of watchers? But if I was buying/watching/looking or need these all would have 2 or 3 bids on them by now ! I have left way too much money on the table on stuff that really doesn't even deserve to see a CS1 let alone a grading room !!!

I hear you on the buy high, sell low stuff. I recently sold a SGC 96 Earl Campbell rookie for about $80 on eBay. It about made me cry. I have also received way more than I should at times. So I guess it all evens out on the selling end, but I never seem to be able to buy really cheap.

I do not know what Lee or SCGaynor or MintXpress would charge for a consignment, but it might be a good idea to consign with them. They should have a relatively decent following i.e. no great deals.

Anybody have an turnaround times to report? I have a small submission in and its on day 18. I was hoping to get the grades by this weekend but it looks like SGC is swamped. I hope this is an indication of more stuff going to ebay because I am sick and tired of looking at PSA 9's and wondering if they will cross to an SGC 96, then getting them and being disappointed. I did manage to pick a Winfield in a PSA 9 that is probably the best I have ever seen on that card. Not a print spot , just about perfect centering and a clean and centered back. There is two small chips along the border but shouldn't keep out of a 96?

John, I just got one back...10 day submission, shipped on day 11. I talked with Scott H. and he said that they were pretty buried.

Well I figured they were buried. Todays my birthday so if anyone at SGC is wanting to give me a present I get home from work at 9:15 and usually check the submission status at 9:17

Thanks Tony, the Winfield is by far the nicest I have ever handled. I have handled quite a few and usually they have smudge and print problems galore! This was kind of a Birthday present to myself
